Our Inflation Reduction Act / Energy Incentive Consulting Services
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 provided over $370 billion in funding for renewable energy, energy efficiency and decarbonization projects in over 130 programs that span almost all sectors of business and the public and private sectors.
We specialize in maximizing benefits for businesses and organizations investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency improvements through comprehensive support in five key Inflation Reduction Act areas: 48C Advanced Energy Project Credit, 45X Renewable and Efficiency Innovation Support, 179D Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction, and Section 48 Investment Tax Credit, including bonuses for domestic content and low-income community projects, and the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).
48C Advanced Energy Project Credit
Maximize your eligibility for the competitive $10 billion-dollar 48C tax credit with our strategic planning, project assessment, and application support services. Tailored for manufacturers in clean energy and industrial manufacturing, we guide you through the application process to secure a 30% tax credit for qualifying projects.
45X Advanced Energy Production Credit
Leverage the 45X initiative to fund innovative renewable energy and efficiency projects to get tax credits for each unit of clean energy technology produced, including renewable energy components, inverters, battery components and critical materials. Our services include strategic planning, eligibility analysis and documenting compliance to maximize tax credits.
179D Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction
Maximize your savings for any commercial new construction or major renovation with the most underutilized tax incentive in the Inflation Reduction Act: the 179D Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction.
The Inflation Reduction Act essentially tripled the 179D tax deduction from $1.80 to up to $5.65/sf (inflation adjusted for 2024) for incorporating energy efficiency into your new construction or major renovation. With 2023-2025 projects being compared to a baseline energy model from 2007 ASHRAE 90.1 standards, most new construction and major renovations are eligible for a major tax deduction, even if energy efficiency isn’t a design priority. Additionally, for non-profit and government projects, the 179D credit can be allocated to an eligible designer (or designers), which can include the architect, GC, lighting, HVAC and controls contractor.
We provide planning, certification assistance, and documentation support to help you claim up to $5.65 per square foot for energy-saving improvements.
Commercial Solar Incentives (Section 48 ITC and Section 45 PTC)
Section 48 was greatly expanded under the Inflation Reduction Act and now provides a 30% Investment Tax Credit to commercial projects, including many not previously eligible: non-profits, public hospitals, schools, universities, places of worship, and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Additionally, projects may qualify for bonus credits, including the Domestic Content Bonus Credit, Low Income Communities Bonus Credit, and Energy Community Bonus Credit.
Our expertise covers strategic project alignment, eligibility verification, and tax strategy integration to maximize your financial benefits.
